its all to do with what the cpu and gpu can access...xbox360 has that edram ram thats used for high bandwidth for the gpu and main ram...
both companies have decided different routes to get fast ram to the system.
i would say that they are both very equal in general power, just better at certain things... like xbox360 have a customer gpu with the daughter and main dies...and the cell being used to do some of the effects...
ive never seen a whole environment with as much mapping as kameo and pdz0
if you look at both of the gears and unchartered, the floor and other objects suffer.. its just that naughty dog are better at fake bump-mapping and visual trickery..
